DALI II

Back in the city of Dali in the Chinese province of Yunnan. Yunnan was a real favorite on my first trip through China in February 2013. 4 years have passed since, and I am nostalgic, because in such a short period of time, the number of tourists has exploded. The calm and comfort of this small town has been degraded. Negative environmental impacts have pushed the local government to close the small town of ShuangLang, which is on the other side of Dali Lake. What a shame. My fondest memories of Dali were those related to the bike ride around the lake.
